We did it again!

This year we once again received awards at the International Chocolate Awards 2016 with Trifulòt in the Italian/Mediterranean Competition.
The exotic Trifulòt Cardamom and brand new Trifulòt Peanut received the silver medal; it’s an important recognition that speaks to the quality and research into sourcing the most exclusive ingredients, which create the distinctive style of the company. The former was awarded in the “Nut-based pralines with white chocolate” category, while the latter in “Nut-based pralines with milk chocolate”.
Our sweet truffles come from a traditional ​​Piedmontese recipe from the Langhe area.  Their shape resembles that of the truffle, which is why they are called “Sweet Truffles”. Created in our atelier in 2005, in 2007 Tartuflanghe was the first company to offer them in their traditional 14g format, creating Trifulòt, whose name means small truffle, the first Sweet Mini Truffle: a delicious chocolate morsel, a mouthful of pleasure that is perfect for a gourmet break at any time of the day.

In its 7g format, it offers a taste of joie de vivre to enjoy and share with loved ones.

Created in 2014, Trifulòt Cardamom has been specifically created for the most demanding of epicurious palates that always seek out new and flavorful stimuli. Finely fragrant, fruity and spicy, this taste of an exotic connotation paired with almond and white chocolate carries you on a unique journey to distant lands.

Peanut, the new Trifulòt created in 2016, is inspired by a tradition of Italian cioccolateria that dates back to the early 1800s. We modified its form, preserving the taste of peanuts and their crunchy texture, then mixed them with a blend of white and dark chocolate and a pinch of Guerande salt to enhance the flavor and offer a distinctive touch. We decided to break the rules and go against the tide, have a little fun with what is considered to be “serious,“ and give the right rhythm to moments that we often take for granted: we believe that we should take advantage of every single moment. Trifulòt Peanut are the first sweet truffles with peanuts, and offer pleasure with every bite.

Founded in 2012, the awards are managed by a group of international partners based in the UK, Italy and the USA, with years of experience in tasting and evaluating chocolate. Members of the permanent Grand Jury, experts from different countries as well as independent experts, assisted by tasters, pastry chefs, chefs, sommeliers and food critics, supervised the opinions.
